...the entire Z3 world focuses on Spartanburg, SC...the birthplace of the Z3. BMW puts on quite a show including time at the track, free repairs, and a banquet. We were able to attend the BMW Roadster Homecoming in September, 2004. Here are some pics...

It's not every day the Zentrum lets you park on their walkway...we took advantage! |
 |

We left DC and headed south down Skyline Drive (with 11 other Z3s) and the Blue Ridge Parkway (the entire thing!). It was a great drive...well, it would have been a great drive if we could see more than 50 feet! |

Who knew that she would win her heat, race again, and have the time of her life? |

Another benefit of homecoming is any problems you have with your car are fixed by the guys that built them! Here the TexZan is having a ding removed from the hood. Theresa didn't care for this too much... |

There's nothing like a go-cart race with 225 horsepower at your disposal. |

Of course they had to show the durability of their cars (we were in an X3 3.0). Although we had no intention of buying one it sure was fun. |

Watching the X5s traverse the rock hill |

My favorite car in the Zentrum was the 396 hp Z8... |

...which was inspired by her favorite, the 507. |

Hey, look...we made the Spartanburg paper! |
|

One of the highlights of the trip is the panoramic picture taken on Saturday morning. We didn't get there in time for a prime-time spot but I promise we were part of the 500 roadsters involved! (See if you can spot us...) |
