Two T-38 Talons coming in for a formation landing. This was shot with a Nikon D70S, 70-300mm lens on January 13, 2006 at Columbus AFB, MS.
All of the following were taken on March 29, 2006 with the same lens and setup as above. The Blue Angels practice twice a week at NAS Pensacola so we go see them when we can.

Part of Navy Pilot training is the "helo hoist." Because I'm Air Force I didn't have to take part but I wish I could have. Basically a boat drops the guys off in the bay and comes to "rescue" them. They're hoisted up about halfway and lowered back in the water. A boat then comes to pick them up (there isn't room in the chopper for 45 classmates!). It looked like a blast. Anyway, here's my favorite shot from that day:
